At WE HIKE, we believe in the transformative power of outdoor exercise and education. Connecting with nature has proven benefits for physical health, mental well-being, safety, and fostering a sense of environmental stewardship. In line with this vision, we plan a continuous series of eco cultural urban events, including nature walks, educational programs, hiking adventures, and culture exploration (indoor and outdoor) that will cater to diverse interests and age groups.
At WE HIKE, we embark on a journey that transcends the ordinary, inspired by a passion to bring our community outdoors and enrich lives through the transformative power of hiking and movement. Our commitment extends beyond the trails as we seek to integrate culture, safety, arts, health, and wellness into the fabric of our shared experiences.

Through our pioneering hiking safety programs, and leadership development initiatives, we create outdoor spaces where families, youth, seniors, veterans, and individuals can thrive without fear.

Lisa Enriquez believes a simple truth: Education saves lives.
As Founder and President of WE HIKE Adventure, Lisa leads a volunteer-powered nonprofit dedicated to outdoor safety education, youth preparedness, and community engagement in El Paso and the Chihuahuan Desert region. Since 2023, WE HIKE has contributed more than 35,000 volunteer hours and supported over 315 events, connecting people with opportunities to learn, prepare, and explore safely.
For Lisa, those milestones represent more than numbers. They reflect teens building confidence on and off the trail, families learning to prepare before emergencies happen, and community members gaining the knowledge to recognize and respond to the risks of extreme heat and desert conditions. She is committed to making outdoor education and recreation more accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
Whether she’s organizing safety workshops, leading outreach events, or bringing the El Paso community together on the trail every year, Lisa’s core focus remains the same: ensuring every adventurer gets the education they need to return home safely.
Learn. Explore. Prepare. Return Home Safely.
